REGULATORY ACTS/LAWS, PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS, CODES & STANDARDS

The Excelsior Synergy PLT is wholly responsible for ensuring compliance with all local regulatory acts/laws, for every project specification, other international codes & standards for the WORK. In the event of conflict amongst these acts/laws, specification, codes and standards, the order of precedence shall be as follows:

  • • National/Local Regulatory Acts/Laws.
  • • Project Specifications.
  • • International Codes and Standards.

Excelsior Synergy PLT. will determine by carefully scrutinizing all the requirements which are acceptable in regards to HSE, economy and legal aspects to all project involving

General Governing Legislation
All related engineering shall be executed in accordance with the latest applicable laws and regulations of Malaysia. These shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • a) The Petroleum (Safety Measures) Act;
  • b) Environment Quality Act;
  • c) Factory and Machinery Act, 1967 (Act 139) and Regulations and Rules;
  • d) Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA);
  • e) Malaysia Uniform Building By-Laws;
  • f) General specification for Building Works, Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), Malaysia;
  • g) Electricity Supply Act 1990 (Act 447);
  • h) Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM);
  • i) Act A662 “Registration of Engineers (Amendment) Act 1987”;
  • j) Regulations and Requirements of Road Works Department (JKR), Malaysia.
  • k) Sustainable Energy Development Act
